Location
Kirby Muxloe is 4.5 miles west of Leicester City Centre, Leicester University and Leicester Royal Infirmary. Glenfield Hospital is 2 miles away. We are just off the M1 motorway junction 21a and 17 miles from East Midlands Airport.
The village is easily reached travelling north from junction 21a - travelling south either leave the motorway at junction 22 and travel through the villages of Markfield and Ratby or leave the motorway at junction 21 and follow the outer ring road North.
Our Bed & Breakfast is ideally located for many local city and rural attractions. Leicester City has excellent shopping, diverse sporting, cultural and historical attractions, such as it's Roman history, Richard III Experience and the National Space Centre.
Bradgate House, the family home of Lady Jane Grey
The County boasts Bradgate Park, Leicestershire's no.1 tourist attraction which can be seen from our village. There are several attractive market towns nearby, Market Bosworth with the nearby Battle of Bosworth visitor centre and Ashby-de-la-Zouch with it's castle. There are two local steam railways.
Ragdale Hall and Champney's Springs Health Spas are approximately 20 - 25 mins away near Melton Mowbray and Ashby-de-la Zouch respectively.
The picturesque remains of the moated, fortified manor house, Kirby Muxloe Castle are just two minutes walk from the house.
The village has two public houses with restaurants within a five minute walk.
There is a local bus service, Leicester City Park and Ride is 1 mile away and there is a friendly and reliable local taxi service.
